Step 1: Preparing the nails

• Disinfecting hands and nails: Start by disinfecting your hands and nails with our hand sanitizer spray. This prevents bacteria from getting trapped under the products.
• Pushing back cuticles: Use a Cuticle Pusher to gently push back the cuticles. By properly pushing back the cuticles, you increase the surface area of the nail and prevent lifting.
• Optional: E-manicure: Use an electric nail drill with suitable bits such as our flat cylinder bit and drop bit to thoroughly clean the cuticles and nail plate. This ensures optimal adhesion of the product.
• Roughening the nail plate: Lightly file the nail plate with a 240-grit file to remove the shine for better adhesion. This ensures that the gel polish can bond better to a matte surface.
• Shaping files: File the nails into the desired shape with one of our files. This is important for the strength and the final look of the nail.

Step 2: Degreasing the nails

• Removing dust particles: Use a dust brush to remove loose dust particles so they do not get trapped under the product layers and cause unevenness.
• Cleaning nails: Clean the nails with 70% alcohol on a Nail Wipe. This ensures the nail plate is grease-free so the products can adhere better.

Step 3: Applying PH Bond and Sticky Bonder

• Applying PH Bond: Apply a thin layer of PH Bond on the nail plate to dehydrate the nail and remove excess moisture. This helps prevent lifting.
  
• Applying Sticky Bonder: Then apply our Sticky Bonder on the nail plate. This product provides extra adhesion between the natural nail and the base, resulting in a long-lasting and strong nail application. The Sticky Bonder contains no harmful acids, making it safe for the nails.

Step 4: Applying the Brush Builder Base

• Applying base layer: Apply a thin layer of Brush Builder Base and spread it evenly. Avoid contact with the skin, as this can cause lifting.
  
• Curing: Cure the base under the LED lamp for 60 seconds or under a UV lamp for 120 seconds to create a strong base.

Step 5: Applying Brush Builder

• Base coat and build-up layer: First apply a thin base coat and then place a thicker build-up layer in the center up to 2/3 of the nail for extra strength. This helps to create a nice curve, which makes the nail stronger.
  
• Working with Long Liner: Use our Long Liner brush for a precise finish along the cuticles, sidewalls, and towards the free edge, so you can work neatly and prevent lifting.
• Self-leveling effect: For a smooth result, you can turn the finger upside down so the product levels itself nicely. This ensures a perfectly smooth surface.
• Curing: Cure the Brush Builder under the LED lamp for 90 seconds or under a UV lamp for 180 seconds.

 Step 6: Applying the Top Coat

• Applying top coat: Apply our top coat for a high-gloss and protective finish that protects the nail from damage and ensures long-lasting shine.
  
• Curing: Cure the top coat under the LED lamp for 90 seconds or under a UV lamp for 120 seconds. 

Step 7: Filing Shorter

• Nail filing: File the nails 0.5 to 1 mm shorter after applying the top coat to compensate for product shrinkage. This prevents the nail from cracking or breaking later.

Extra Tip for Flexible Nails

• Do you or your client have thin and flexible nails? Carefully file the natural nail underneath with a C-curve bit to prevent lifting and for better adhesion.

Important Tip
Make sure each product is properly cured and that contact with the skin is avoided as much as possible to prevent allergic reactions and lifting. Work carefully and take the time to finish every detail for a professional result.
